John Wick Movie Chapter 4 Becomes the Longest Series of John Wick Films

John Wick 4 is said to have a longer duration than the franchise’s previous installments. Director Chad Stahelski confirmed this without specifying the length of the film. “It’s longer than the other three, but not that long either,” said Chad Stahelski as reported by Collider some time ago.

Although it hasn’t been officially announced yet, John Wick 4’s runtime is thought to have run at more than 131 minutes, the longest that John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum currently holds.

Since its premiere in 2014, the duration of the latest John Wick installments has continued to increase, starting from 101 minutes (John Wick), 122 minutes (John Wick: Chapter 2), and 131 minutes (John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum).

John Wick first made $86 million at the global box office in 2014, then earned $171.5 million for Chapter 2 in 2017, to $327.3 million for Chapter 3 in 2017.

Chad Stahelski revealed that he and the team are now in the final stages of locking the image which will then be followed by visual effects, as well as music composed by Tyler Bates.

The process of providing visual effects is said to be taking place in the remaining months of the year. He also said that all processes are almost complete.

“The film is basically done. There may be a few more weeks of tweaking the whole thing, then we lock the picture, music, sound effects and visual effects,” he said. John Wick: C hapter 4 will again feature Keanu Reeves as the main star. There is no official plot for the film yet.

However, John Wick: Chapter 4 was introduced to the public for the first time at Comic-Con. The teaser features a fierce and brutal battle between Keanu Reeves and Donnie Yen.

A supporting cast including Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins and Clancy Brown are also featured in the teaser. Ian McShane also returns as Winston, the manager of the Continental Hotel. John Wick: Chapter 4 is slated to premiere May 23, 2023.
